Blanket Care Guide

Appropriate care can help your SteelPantry blankets maintain their texture, appearance, and comfort. Since different fabrics have different care requirements, always check the care label or product-specific instructions before cleaning.

Washing

  • Review the care label before washing.
  • Use the recommended water temperature and washing cycle.
  • Wash similar colors together.
  • Use a detergent suitable for the fabric.
  • Avoid bleach unless specifically permitted by the care instructions.
  • Avoid overloading the washing machine.

Drying

Follow the drying method recommended for your particular blanket.

When machine drying is permitted, use the recommended temperature setting. Excessive heat can shrink some fabrics or affect their softness and texture.

Air drying may be more suitable for certain delicate, knitted, or loosely woven blankets.

Fleece and Synthetic Fabrics

For fleece and other synthetic materials, follow the recommended temperature settings and avoid unnecessary high heat.

Check the care label before using fabric softeners or other treatments, as suitability can differ between materials.

Knitted and Delicate Blankets

Knitted or loosely woven blankets may stretch if pulled or handled roughly.

Use the recommended washing method and support the fabric carefully when lifting a wet blanket. Avoid twisting or pulling the material unnecessarily.

Maintaining Color and Texture

Wash blankets according to the product instructions and avoid harsh cleaning agents.

For blankets with decorative trims, special finishes, or mixed materials, follow any additional care information supplied with the item.

Storage

Make sure blankets are fully dry before storing them for an extended period.

Keep them in a clean, dry, well-ventilated area away from excessive moisture and prolonged direct sunlight.

Everyday Care

Shake out blankets periodically to remove surface dust and loose debris. Address spills promptly using a cleaning method appropriate for the fabric.
